Blog the Job! - Study project for the innovative presentation of career perspectives for cultural and humanities scholars in the summer semester 2018

Humanities graduates drive all cabs after completing their studies? This saying is just as obsolete as unfounded! We want to clean up with this prejudice and make visible the diverse possibilities and perspectives of cultural and humanities scholars with a bachelor's or master's degree - in the form of a blog!

Blogging enables an innovative, sustainable and targeted information and knowledge transfer: In addition to portraits of graduates of the subject, who work in relevant occupational fields, you will also find further information, link collections, a professional guide u.v.m. Place in a blog. The contributions and contents will be developed independently. Both practical and occupational field-oriented competencies are strengthened and expanded: the preparation of empirical data (narrative interviews with graduates, employers and Co.) for a blog post is both a writing exercise and a work sample. Even the practiced use of social media is often a competitive advantage in career planning. The project also includes three exclusive workshops:

  • Scientific blogging
  • Creative writing
  • Visual presentation

... who prepare us for work as blog authors. The workshops take place as additional block events (dates will be announced) and the participation is certified. Interested master and bachelor students are in demand (the event can be found in the supplement area!) A total of twenty places will be allocated for the project, and there will be a waiting list for all other interested parties.
