About me
Julian Genner currently is an interim professor [Vertretungsprofessor] at the University of Freiburg (Germany). He received his PhD in cultural anthropology from the University of Basel (Switzerland) and was awarded the faculty prize for his thesis „Vom Nackt zum Sicherheitsscanner. Wie Sicherheit zu einer Ware wird“ [From Nude-o-Scope to Security Scanner. The Commodification of Security) in 2015. He held various positions as a post doc at the University of Basel, the University of Freiburg, and the Special Collaborative Research Center (CRC) 1187 “Media of Cooperation” at the University of Siegen.
